For those of us running Linux file shares at home, AFP support is provided using something called Netatalk. Since my original posting on this a few years ago, this is now at version 3.0 and the configuration has changed somewhat. Once again, it is time to look into the crystal ball and take stock of the business of technology in the new year. Some of my predictions from last year have come to pass while a few from the years before are still trying to have their day in the sun.
